Apologies for having posted this a few times already, but you can blame GI's *** outdated blog system and its persistent Internal Server Errors for that.
This is the third of a three-part series of posts that I am calling The Great Games. These lists are those video games that I believe represent the best the medium has to offer. If a game that you feel should be included is not, there are four possible reasons: I have not played it, I did not feel that it warranted inclusion, it was in the previous lists, or I simply forgot to include it (relatively unlikely, but definitely possible). If the latter is the case, rest assured I will add it in.
If anyone has any questions regarding anything about this list or the games therein, please do not hesitate to ask.
DISCLAIMER: I do not like (and thus do not play) the following game genres: JRPGs, MMOs, music games, and strategy games (real-time or turn-based). I know that there are plenty of games in these genres that warrant inclusion on the list, but I don't care enough to spend the time or money. So don't complain because WoW, Rock Band, Company of Heroes, or any Final Fantasies are missing.

The elite. The interactive experiences that I will quite possibly never forget. Sure to be the most controversial entries, these are the rare triumphs of gaming that left real marks on me and changed how I view the medium. If there is something here that you have not yet played, you simply must go out of your way to do so. I truly believe that all those with even a passing interest in the art and craft of interactive entrtainment need to play every game on this list.
